Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE) calculator sheet
Personally, I do not want to work till I am 60. I probably want to work till I am 35 - if my wealth supports me after this. But how do I know which age is good for me to retire?
I created a spreadsheet which calculates in detail - based on your income, debt, expenses and investments - your projected networth v/s time given a list of retirement ages. That is, it gives the projection for each retirement age right from 2023 to 2060 (and above if you need).
Based on your inputs, using a series of steps, it outputs the projected networth v/s time given retirement age graph for you to see and gauge if you are set to FIRE.
It allows you to play with things like your expenses, investments and salary CAGR and see your sweet spot that you can aim for - as you play with the inputs, you can see the numbers and the graphs changing live, telling you the feasibility of you retiring at a particular age.
You'll get 2 XLSX files - one is the template using which you can calculate your own FIRE status, the other is an example showing you how to use the sheet. It was exported from Google Sheets. Import it to Google Sheets for maximum compatibility.
